SPRING IS SPRUNG

Giddaye, all - sorry, been a bit quiet lately, which is not to say we haven't been BUSY...

We had a tremendous time hosting the Phoebe Bridgers "Lost Weekend" listening party for 70 guests - something quite special about hearing an album, in full, in the company of others, sharing the experience - anyway, thanks to everyone who came along, what a delightful, caring bunch.

We also played host to Mr Anthonie Tonnon for the release of his very limited "Executive Assistant" CD SINGLE - we still have a few copies left if anyone is keen...

PLUS, of course - we hosted the delightful Ms Kara Rickard and Mr Tony Stamp for the live instore broadcast of RNZ's Music 101 during the excellent Great Sounds Great festival - people very surprised to see them broadcasting from the shop as it played out through the ancient shop stereo... great fun, anyway.



And a whole bunch of exciting new music out and instore now - new releases from Interpol, Beck, Alabama Shakes, Role Model, The Strokes, Julia Holter, Jungle and heaps more, along with tasty reissues from Mogwai, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, The Stone Roses and, well - you get my drift. We've also gotten in a bunch of titles to help you commemorate the passing of the Great Dolly Parton - singer, songwriter, philanthropist, exemplary human being - we shan't see her like again, most probably...

Some cool stuff coming up, and, by gum - it being nearly October, is it too early to start thinking about Christmas...? (yes, it is)
