Record Store Day 2026 at Slow Boat!!!
Well howdy, folks – been getting lots of calls and messages regarding Record Store Day 2026, which this year lands on the 18th April – psyched to bring you our plans for the day!!
As usual, we have scoured the pre-order lists to try and get the releases you are seeking – the whole list of releases is here (please note - not every title listed here will be available!), and the likely hot ticket items include releases from Taylor Swift, Charli XCX, Tate McRae, KPop Demon Hunters, Wire, a-Ha, Sonic Youth, Violet Grohl et al – we are unable to reply to individual enquiries about what we will have in stock, but, as ever, we will post video of the swag a day or two ahead of the event.
We also have some exciting news on our now traditional RSD instore performances, which we will share with you all VERY SOON… (hint – in the past we have hosted Dave Dobbyn, Neil Finn, Kurt Vile, Anika Moa etc etc – and this one will be RIGHT UP THERE!!)
Can’t wait to fill you all in on the detail – and, a reminder; over the last few years, the trend has been towards overnight queues for the most desirable titles. Our simple request is, as ever – that everyone is kind and courteous and respectful, and that everyone stays safe and warm - we will, to this end, because we care, open an hour early at 9am!
