Record Store Day 2021 at Slow Boat!!

We are thrilled to share with you our plans for Record Store Day 2021!

Slow Boat has, of course, been with the event since its inception in 2007, and it has seen music lovers gather to partake in the communal joy that comes from visiting a bricks and mortar record store, to grab some limited edition vinyl collectable releases, and to witness free, live instore performances from the remarkable likes of Tiny Ruins, Neil Finn, Dave Dobbyn, Tami Neilson, David Kilgour, Kurt Vile, Lawrence Arabia, Mermaidens, TEETH, French For Rabbits and many more.

As it was in 2020, with all the global disruption due to the pandemic, the event now has TWO ‘drop’ days; Saturday the 12th of June and Saturday the 17th of July, when limited edition vinyl releases are made available through independent stores worldwide. In effect – we get to celebrate twice!!

We had a whale of time hosting the wonderful Reb Fountain (and her trusty sidekick, Mr Dave Khan) on Saturday, and we are equally chuffed to announce that our second RSD 2021 instore, on the 17th of July, will be from Anthonie Tonnon, whose brand spanking new album, "Leave Love Out Of This" is released just one day prior, through Nadia Reid's Slow Time Records - again - can't wait, more details as they come to hand!

SEE YOU SOON!! XX
