November, already!

Greetings, everyone! Already gearing up for the end of the year, Xmas only about 6 weeks away!!! Which means there's no time like the present to stock up on stocking fillers for your music-mad giftees - vinyl, posters, tee shirts, vouchers, CDs, DVDs, Bluray - you name it, we gottem! And a whole heap of stuff that any self-respecting music fan would love to add to their collection - not least of which is the magnificent new Bob Dylan "Bootleg Series Vol 12 - The Cutting Edge", featuring material from the great man's imperial 1965-66 heyday. The sound of history being made, as he and his band rip through unreleased, early and alternate versions of songs from three of his finest LPs - "Bringing It All Back Home", "Highway 61 Revisited" and "Blonde On Blonde". An amazing document, and available now as 2 or 6 CD sets, and 3LP (with 2 CDs!). We also have NZ/ Flying Nun stalwarts The Chills first album in 19 years(!!!), "Silver Bullets" - chiming guitars, and a production not a million miles from their 1990 classic "Submarine Bells", Joanna Newsom's fourth album, "Divers", former Brunette Jonathan Bree's excellent second album, "A Little Night Music", and a fine new EP/ mini album from recent tourists The Brian Jonestown Massacre. CBRWC On top of all of this, can we just say a great big Slow Boat CHEERS to the terrific Courtney Barnett, who filled our store with fans last week and played an awesome half-hour set before her sold out Bodega show that night - signed stuff, posed for pics - and hell, even conceded the William Webb Ellis trophy to the staff of Slow Boat - what a champ!! If anyone is still in the dark about her terrific music, I would suggest grabbing her excellent LP from earlier this year, "Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit" - a lock for one of the top albums of 2015. As you were, hope everybody is doing great, catch you all soon, we hope!! The Slow Boat Crew XX
