Slow Boat Records is thrilled beyond all measure to welcome brilliant Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett to the store this Thursday, the 5
th of November for a quick solo instore performance ahead of her SOLD OUT band show that evening at Bodega!
Hailing from Wellington’s spiritual sister-city, Melbourne, this is the first time Barnett has performed in Wellington after a 2014 visit to Auckland, and a memorable appearance at this year’s Laneway Festival. She has appeared on the Ellen Show and The Tonight Show, and the smart,
1 literate songs from her releases “The Double EP; A Sea Of Split Peas” and this year’s superb full-length LP “Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit” have marked her as a remarkable talent whose music has really connected with an NZ audience.
We are stoked that Courtney has accepted our invitation to play some songs for us here, and will have a swag of CB ‘product’ available (from local distributors Rhythmethod) that she will hopefully have some time to sign!
