Rugby World Cup book/ Bunnies On Ponies video launch!!
Goodness me – things to celebrate; Slow Boat’s own Jeremy Taylor has only gone and written a book about the upcoming 2015 Rugby World Cup, entitled “The Last Word On The Rugby World Cup 2015”, through Australian-based publisher Germinal Press!
A trove of facts, opinions, thoughts and info about this year’s premier global sporting event plus illustrations from renowned cartoonist Tom Scott, as the All Blacks look to be the first ever side to successfully defend the title, it will be available from all good bookstores, but for now we are having a launch for the book here at Slow Boat on Friday, the 10th of July at 5.30pm – and wait, there’s more!
One of our very favourite bands, Bunnies On Ponies (featuring The Phoenix Foundation’s Samuel Flynn Scott – who has also contributed to the book – and Tom Callwood, with sticksman of note Craig Terris), are going to play a quick instore, in belated celebration of the vinyl release of their excellent album from earlier this year, “Heat Death Of The Universe”, and unveil their brand new music video to boot!
On top of this, those fine fellows (and fellesses) from the Aro Valley’s finest, the Garage Project, have contributed some of their fine brews for the occasion, and we will also have pizza from the city’s finest – Tommy Millions!!!
