Record Store Day at Slow Boat 2014!!!
Saturday the 19th of April (Easter Saturday) brings the return of our favourite day of the record store calendar – Record Store Day!
Our final instore performance announcement for our 2014 celebration is none other than NZ music legend Mr Dave Dobbyn!!!
Writer of so many of our most beloved songs, and a man who has soundtracked life in our country throughout the last three decades, we are honoured that Dave has agreed to join us and our other esteemed performers, Ms Julia Deans and Mr Louis Baker, and would like to stress that admission will be limited for this event – the instores will be from 2pm onward…
There will be limited edition vinyl releases, strictly on a “first in, best dressed” basis. There will be prizes, and specials and – well, you’ll just have to come on down and see for yourself – we promise it will be well worth your while!!!
This global event has been celebrated here every year since its inception in 2008 – memorable instores from Lawrence Arabia, David Kilgour, Sam Scott and Bunnies On Ponies and more – and this year we are planning an event bigger, brighter, better than ever before.
