Record Store Day 2011 at Slow Boat!
RECORD STORE DAY 2011 AT SLOW BOAT!!!
Saturday the 16th of April brings the fourth annual International Record Store Day, and, as per, we here at the ‘Boat have lined up a stellar bunch of entertainments and activities for you to help us celebrate another year of independence!
Regrettably, the range of exclusive Record Store Day vinyl releases will not be with us for the day (owing to the fact that some of them were still not with our distributor as of the time of writing!) – we are hoping they will arrive during the ensuing week. We will have a whole bunch of new stuff from outstanding US reissue label Light In The Attic, and some luxury pressings from Music On Vinyl, as well as the usual array of delectable goodies you have come to expect from us.
The festivities where to buy effexor online will run a little like this:
11am: Instore performance from local indie-folk newcomers City Oh Sigh, who have just released a very favourably reviewed EP called ‘Like A Light’, which is on sale in the store now.
2pm: Instore performance from Nina and Matt (from local faves The Family Cactus)
4pm: The unabashed piece de resistance of our day – an exclusive instore performance from one of the country’s finest singer-songwriters – the very excellent Taite Prize and APRA Silver Scroll winner Mr Lawrence Arabia!!!
We will also be running a raffle, and have some spot prize giveaways, as well as contributing some voucher prizes to a music quiz that will take place that evening from 6pm at the Southern Cross on Abel Smith Street.
We would also encourage you to pay a visit to our near neighbours Real Groovy…
