Crikey – Record Store Day at Slow Boat 2016, done and dusted for another year, and what a mighty day it was!!!
A huge thankyou to everyone who came down and celebrated with us, and in particular our terrific instore performers, Anika Moa, Orchestra Of Spheres and Mr Dave Dobbyn (and his band!) It was a terrific day, celebrated in fine spirit, and captured (and broadcast!) for posterity by those fine folks from RNZ National’s Music 101.
Whatever your feelings about the commercialisation of the Record Store Day, you couldn’t have helped but be inspired by being in a real, fair-dinkum, bricks and mortar record store, listening to some of our finest musicians performing for the love of music – so much wonderful feedback, and some terrific photos doing the rounds over on Facebook.
So – thanks again, everybody – we truly do appreciate your custom, and your energy and enthusiasm – tremendous.
