Howdy, compadres – FINALLY some proper Winter-y weather, and cause to break out the polyprops and hunker down with some great new (or old) music, or some quality viewing on DVD (might we humbly suggest the magnificent Danish series “Borgen”?!)
Lots of cool stuff here in the store at the minute – a fresh batch of posters here, new albums from ‘Boat faves Lawrence Arabia, Paul Simon, Bat For Lashes et al there, plus lashings of new and second hand vinyl treats – of particular interest at the moment are Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers “Greatest Hits” 2LP (never before on vinyl!), the best Hole album, “Live Through This”, recent tourists The Cure‘s magnificent “Disintegration”, “Head On The Door” and “Standing On A Beach” singles comp, reissues of classic REM titles “Life’s Rich Pageant”, “Eponymous” and “Dead Letter Office”, plus some fine hauls of second-hand jazz, classic rock and indie – come have a look-see, why don’t you!?
Something very exciting to announce for you very soon, plus the generally excitable vibe around the town with our beloved Hurricanes hosting a Super Rugby home final – all the very best to our boys, here’s hoping you can bring it home this year against a very good Lions side. We have faith!!
