2019!!!

Wella, wella, wella WELCOME, everybody, to 2019, for heaven's sake - a whole lot of new musical treats laying in wait, and it's blimmin' RUGBY WORLD CUP YEAR, to boot!!

One thing we ARE pretty psyched for is the new Tiny Ruins album, "Olympic Girls" - due out Friday the 1st of Feb, the sneak preview we've had suggests it will be an effortless contender for being one of the year's finest - their instore here for Record Store Day 2018 was an absolute joy, and we are also looking forward to their album tour show here on the 10th of March... (FYI - gonna preview a few tracks on RNZ Nine To Noon after 11am on release day - tune in!!)

Also floating our Boat (pun intended) is Swedish pop polymath Robyn's "Honey", Anderson Paak's marvellous "Oxnard", James Blake's "Assume Form", Bryan Ferry's selection of reinterpreted songs from his illustrious catalogue, "Bittersweet", and Sharon Van Etten's (maybe?) best album yet, "Remind Me Tomorrow". We are also packing a hefty compliment of new posters, tee shirts, DVD's and accessories, and making some 2019 plans that, all things being equal, should be pretty darn exciting...

Hope everyone is feeling refreshed, reinvigorated, and is enjoying this here heatwave (which reminds me - we also have copies of the deluxe 2CD reissues of the first 3 albums from The Blue Nile...)

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Y'ALL - hope to see you all soon
