2011
Hola, everybody – and welcome to the new year! A Rugby World Cup year, in fact, right here in NZ! Exciting (and also a bit worrying…)!
Anyway, we are starting as we mean to continue – loads of new and second hand vinyl out in the store, and, as always, we are paying the best cash and trade prices in town for your top quality CD’s/ vinyl/ DVD’s etc. We have loads of posters, tee shirts etc – come pay us a visit! Laneways 2011 on the first of Feb is looking good – here in Wellington, we get a slightly reduced lineup from the Auckland show, that will still feature Deerhunter, Yeasayer, Beach House, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Blonde Redhead and Ladyhawke – look out for a special instore display featuring goodies from these acts…
Lots of stuff to look forward to this year too, not least of which is the second 1 album order effexor xr 150 mg from the very wonderful Fleet Foxes, as well as a new album from The Strokes, and proposed new records from ‘Boat faves Radiohead and Death Cab For Cutie. Instore now are the new Iron & Wine album “Kiss Each Other Clean”, and the latest from The Decemberists “The King Is Dead”, as well as Wanda Jackson‘s Jack White-produced effort “The Party Ain’t Over” – hot dog!!!
Have also just posted our ‘Top 5’s’ for 2010, here; http://slowboatrecords.co.nz/?page_id=395
We also have very limited copies of the brilliant Unknown Mortal Orchestra (the Mint Chicks under an alias!) 7″ EP on UK label The Sound Of Sweet Nothing. Going fast…
ALSO very exciting is a UK release of The Phoenix Foundation‘s magnificent 4th album, “Buffalo”, with accompanying European tour dates – all the very best, chaps!!!
Be seein’ y’all…
